Amazed by the Miracle

My dear reader, please let me first talk about this painting before I start to talk about the story behind it, well, the first thing I am eager to make it clear that this piece of art have been designed & created by me and it's not reproduced, the second thing is, it took me more than two whole years to finish it (2014-2016), it also took me a lot of persistence to bring it the way I imagine it (as an information on the side line I repainted the sea in the background three times in order to get the right texture and the convincing color), the third thing is, this is the first piece of art I created in that realistic form to start a series of paintings I intend to release it through my life art project as an upcoming artist, so maybe that is why it took me a long time, the beginning is always the hardest, right ?, Now let's talk about the story behind it, it is simply about a scene for the journey of Moses exodus, my hero as you might guessed is the old man with the white and yellow clothes (he is not Moses by the way, just one of his people), that man is special in a spiritual way, according to that he chose to stop in the middle of this crowded journey to record a good look with an amazed face which reflecting the strong impact of this huge miracle around him, while everyone else was just busy with their mundane things and the idea of being safety, this is the main idea that I built on it, even when the huge miracles happen, only a few people will let it touch them deep down inside their souls, but unfortunately the majority will receive it in superficial level, hope to enjoy it .

The Death of Cleopatra

As you might guessed this painting (which is a color version of an earlier black and white version of the same work) recording the moment of Cleopatra's death, which I tried to put emotions in it as much as I could to emphasize on the strangeness of the scene and its uniqueness, which represents a special case that rarely occurs in history and it is done by people who stand away from the crowed, which gives the scene a lot of surprise and attention, I made a solid sketches because I wanted the design of this painting to come out in a certain way I imagined and felt it, I wanted the painting to come out identical to this feelings which is hard to describe it, but I used to experience it every time I saw art works or even films about the era of the ancient Egyptians, I think you dear readers know what I mean and you also tested these feelings, of course the biggest element that helped me to express this feeling is the engineering design of the place that contains the event, and the second element is the sea and its intruder appearance which I wanted to look like it is a mistake due to the air lifting the curtain, also the emergence of some plants that were famous for Egypt had an important part of this effect, also the role of furniture and clothes and accessories can't be ignored, as for the spirit of the artistic work and the relationship of the figures to each other, I think that I was somewhat influenced by the work of former art masters who dealt with this subject, but certainly I did not copy from any other art work, but I have synthesized my own mix since the first moments of compositing this art work, where I was giving the work from my imagination, enthusiasm and what I learned as much as I could which I think the viewer can observe it clearly, this work was a new challenge proud that I have accomplished and then it will became another step on the road which I learned from it, and finally I would leave you with this art work in full details and I hope you enjoy watching it as I enjoyed painting it.

Next to the city walls

The beauty of the ancient Egyptian building, that is what I wanted to show, the beauty of a panoramic view for an Egyptian Pharaonic sceneFirst of all, the main idea of this artwork is based on open view from the top of an ancient Egyptian city, or as it is sometimes said a Pharaonic city, but I want to show it the way it appearance when it was built thousands of years ago.Let's start with the main hero in this work of art (contrary to what the reader might imagine) which is the perspective in the whole painting, Yes, there are some buildings in the front of the painting that seem to pay more attention to them than others, but this is one of the axioms that the perspective forces you to do, The closer the elements are to your eyes, the larger it becomes, and therefore it deserving more attention and highlighting its details, but I did not mean that all the focus should be on those buildings, The main idea is the perspective and how I built all these buildings on it, which draws your eyes to a single point within the artwork, There is a focal point for the artwork which is the statue at the forefront, but I did not want it to capture the heroism of the artwork as well, I also wanted the viewer’s eye to see a wall that defines the end of the city, because I did not want the houses to extend to the horizon line to become infinite miniatures smallAlso I wanted the clouds to confirm the perspective with the way that I chose it to form, I mean the clouds as an element in life have many forms, and as you may have noticed I chose for the clouds to stop at some point to show the sky as an outlet that I felt was necessary to the viewer eyes who might want to come out from under the clouds.I think that the hero's assistant in this artwork is the color, the colors of the buildings, I wanted that to be as close as possible to the ancient Egyptian pallet in order to carry the viewer's feelings of nostalgia for that ancient Egyptian spirit, which was distinguished by its own colorOne of the elements that I always think about whenever I start a new artwork that I must make a conscious and reasoned decision about it is : at any time the artwork is going on? I chose for this work to be in broad daylight so that I can highlight the different colors of the buildingsAs for the most prominent thing that I experienced while working on this painting and I consider it a remarkable development (because it was not planned at the beginning of the work) it is the four birds in the front of the painting and the reason for its existence, What I noticed while I am working is that the artwork is dominated by inaction, It is full of engineering buildings, which are of course inanimate, So what is the opposite of inaction? Exactly ... Action, and I couldn't find anything in this open panoramic view suitable more than birds to bring action, so I added themFinally, I hope you enjoyed the artwork

Wake up Memphis

The main idea for this painting is an ancient Egyptian cityscape, as you can see we have a view from above in order to sending the eyes to the horizon, I also wanted to show the intimacy of the city and its small warm houses adjacent to the great temple like they were sheltering or resorting to it, I chose the time of the dawn which a time without people to create a romantic atmosphere, the swarm of pigeons and those small fumes that come out of the roofs are signs that the city has just awakened and yawning to start a new day, and the temple is standing tall next to the city as if it protects its identity, Now you may wonder, but what about the harp player ? in fact she does not take the main role in this scene as you might guessed, but she share it with the city, she sits above the city as if she were riding it, closing her eyes while she is playing on her harp make her seems like she is swimming in her own dreams sending this secret hymns to the new sunrise through the sky of her city and with all her feelings she is immersed in a daily ritual for a holy prayer she use to do it, the subject in its entirety is no more than a certain state of feelings I wanted to express, In the end, I hope you enjoyed this piece of work which took more than three hundred hours of work to complete .

At the princess's command

As the first light of dawn filled the ornate halls of the palace, the princess stood with her scribe, her hand raised with the authority of one who born to rule, She stood in the center of the room—graceful, elegant, and fully aware of the responsibility placed upon her, The walls around her bore the memories of Egypt—gods, kings, sacred symbols, and stories written for eternity. The obedient scribe sat, his reed pen resting on its papyrus scroll, his toolbox beside him, a light source behind him, and everything he needed, The princess spoke in a quiet but firm voice: "Write down the following, Send grain to the villages along the river, Let the workers repairing the temple receive what they need, Prepare gifts for those who have served Egypt faithfully, And prepare the gardens for the upcoming celebration" And so every movement of the princess's hand became a command, and every command became a line of ink.The scribe listened in silence, carefully recording every word, aware that the written command would reach beyond the palace walls, Messengers would carry it across the Nile, soldiers would protect its journey, and officials would ensure the princess's wishes were fulfilled. At her feet lay her huge dog, silently watching as her guardian, Beside her, flowers filled the room with their colors and fragrant scents, softening the awe of authority, And so, with a few words and a stroke of the pen the princess's orders will began its Strict journey across the land of Egypt.

Fluteing to Ibis

Haven't you ever longed to take a break from the world, to isolate yourself from all the noise around you, to distance yourself from people, to sit with yourself and try to free it from all the annoying details of life? I think everyone yearns for this moment of solitude, a moment when we connect deeply with our souls, This is what happened to this Egyptian boy who sat alone on the outskirts of his city, his soul trying to commune with the melodies of his flute, Then an ibis landed before him, drawn by the flute's melody emanating from the depths of the boy soul, It approaches the Ibis in a state of spiritual communion with the boy, As always with my artworks, I wanted to showcase the beauty of ancient Egyptian civilization, but this time it was through this simple art work.
